Those are CASHEWNUTS not PECANS.
Actually I think NY girls should speak up more, esp since we only have ONE dialogue session the entire year, and all we can talk about is extending the time for students to arrive at assembly?! I'm sure there are infinitely more impt issues that we could bring up. Firstly, the latecoming thing really reflects on our attitude. Is it THAT difficult to come 5 minutes earlier once every fortnight? Is it REALLY too much to ask? And, knowing that you have assembly, even if you have the merest inclination to pee, you should go earlier, because we have all of 40 minutes before that. And I think Olivia's tone was REALLY inappropriate, especially since she was addressing not only the VPs and Deans (which isn't the main focus here), but she's addressing an entire audience of Captive Listeners, and personally, as a Nanyang girl, I don't like to hear a fellow Nanyang girl speak in such an inelegant, unpoised manner. Shows that she didn't even think about what she was going to say before she said it. Haha okay, maybe there's some bias in that argument, but it's mostly objective.
Haha aiya this sounds so condescending?! I mean I don't mean to sound like I'm placing myself above NY girls or anything, because I AM a NY girl, and it just makes me a little disappointed. And so what if people get lauded for speaking up? I think it's only right to express your views if you think something is wrong, and it's not something that only a few people should be doing, it's something that all NY girls should do! WE ARE NOT WALLFLOWERS!! DEBUNK THAT MYTH! (: Haha.
